Bayside Veterans Park

The park was damaged when Hurricane Ian directly hit the Town on September 28, 2022.

Rebuilding of the park began in August of 2023 and was complete by 

September 28, 2023, in time for one-year remembrance events to be held there.

The Town Council reached consensus at the December 18th, 2023, Town Council meeting to formally rename the park to Bayside Veterans Park in agreement with the survey’s top choice. 

Bayside Veterans Park is in the Downtown District at the corner of Old San Carlos Boulevard and First Street in the shadow of Matanzas Pass Bridge. The park has a small stage for events and concerts, and an area for portable seating that looks out over Matanzas Harbor.

A public restroom is located adjacent to the park in the Snug Harbor Restaurant.
