2024 Municipal Election

The Town of Fort Myers Beach will hold a non-partisan election for Town Council seats 3, 4 & 5 November 5, 2024

Per Sec. 4.01(c) of the Town Charter:

Each member of the council shall be a resident of the town and a registered voter and shall have resided within the corporate limits of the municipality for a minimum of 1 year prior to qualifying.

How and when can I announce my candidacy?
  • You may announce at any time HOWEVER, prior to accepting any contributions or spending any funds on the campaign, Forms DS-DE 9 and DS-DE 84 must be completed and properly filed.   The most current version of these forms may be found here: https://dos.fl.gov/elections/forms-publications/forms/
Will I have to file a Form 6?
  • Yes, the Full and Public Disclosure of Financial Interest for 2023 (Form 6) is required during qualification.  Form 6 must be filed electionically with the Florida Commission on Ethics.  The Electronic Financial Disclosure Management System may be found here: https://disclosure.floridaethics.gov/Account/Login
