[ARCHIVED] You may be eligible for a property tax refund

Governor DeSantis announced a process recently for property owners to receive a property tax refund if Hurricane Ian impacted them.


Some of the requirements:  

1) The property must have been uninhabitable for 30 days or more due to Hurricane Ian
2) The application process must be done through the Lee County Property Appraiser – www.leepa.org
3) The Property Appraiser is responsible for approving or denying a homeowner’s eligibility for a refund based on the application. 
4) The application and documentation must be received by the Property Appraiser’s Office by April 3, 2023
