[ARCHIVED] Seeking bids to renovate and remodel Bayside Park

bayside park from old san carlos (1)

The Town's bid process is open to find a contractor to renovate and remodel Bayside Park in the downtown area of Fort Myers Beach.

This is an especially exciting project as it is designed to transform a busy tourist, residential, restaurant, retail, fishing, and boating area in Downtown that has been a topic of community discussion for a long time.

Bids are being accepted to perform RENOVATIONS AND REMODELING related to civil, landscape and electrical work at the park. The work is to include a new band shell, new hardscape paving, shade structures, motorized trellises and landscaping.

A pre-bid meeting (non-mandatory) will be held at Bayside Park on First Street at 9 a.m. on June 29.

The Town partners with DemandStar for open and accessible instant access for all businesses to RFPs, RFQs, and ITBs, and the bid specs and package can be found there.

Two other ways to read and receive the bid specifications and package:

1. Bids and proposals section on the Town website
2. Contact the Town Clerk's office by email

The renovation of Bayside Park is one of three exciting Town redevelopment projects that have been in the planning stages for awhile. The other two projects involve Times Square and Bay Oaks Recreational Campus.
