[ARCHIVED] ETA UPDATE from the Town and Lee County

We are carefully watching ETA which is predicted to be a tropical storm when it reaches us early Monday. Wind and rain are expected. 


To prepare, please:

- DO NOT trim landscaping

- Stow/secure objects that are susceptible to being blown in high winds

- Protect low-lying property from heavy rains

- Monitor Lee County emergency operations for most current and available advice.


UPDATE from Lee County as of November 8 at 10:30 a.m.


The following is an update from Lee County Government on Tropical Storm Eta for Sunday morning:

 Lee County Emergency Management continues to monitor Tropical Storm Eta. 

 There is no State of Local Emergency in effect for Lee County at this time. 

Lee County encourages the public to monitor websites for the National Weather Service, National Hurricane Center and local media outlets. Check leegov.com and Lee County Government on Facebook for updates.

 Lee County may experience Tropical Storm force winds in the next several days. If you have loose items around your property, consider tending to those today.

 The county’s Natural Resources Department and Department of Transportation are monitoring for localized flooding.

 At this time, the county is not adjusting trash collections or operational hours for Monday.
