[ARCHIVED] Parking Fees waived

Due to the economic impacts being felt by the businesses and residents of the Town of Fort Myers Beach as a result of the Red Tide, Blue-Green Algae and Fish Kills, the Town Council has approved the temporary suspension of parking fees at all Town owned pay stations and parking meters within the Town’s limits until September 20, 2018.

Lee County Parks & Recreation extends free parking on Fort Myers Beach

Fort Myers, FL, Sept. 12, 2018 — Lee County Parks & Recreation is waiving parking fees now through Sept. 30 at Lynn Hall Memorial Park, 950 Estero Blvd., and Bowditch Point Park, 50 Estero Blvd. Both parks are located on Fort Myers Beach.

The fee waiver mirrors a decision this week by the Town of Fort Myers Beach to extend the free parking at its sites until the end of the month to assist businesses impacted by red tide. Fees have been waived at Beach county sites since Aug. 24.

This extension will also allow free parking for the upcoming Island Hopper Songwriter Fest, which happens in various locations Sept. 21-30 including events on Fort Myers Beach Sept. 28-30. For more information, visit www.island-hopper.fortmyers-sanibel.com.
