[ARCHIVED] Emergency Preparedness - Tropical Storm Isaac

have been suspended for Monday, August 27. Regularly scheduled collections for the remainder of the week will be delayed for one day. Lee County shelters are open as of 11:00 AM Sunday: East Lee High, Varsity Lakes High and Island Coast High School. South Fort Myers High is pet friendly. Special Needs at Harborside Event Center. A tornado watch is in effect for Lee County until 5:00 PM. Wind and rain will increase this evening. Above normal tides Monday with 3 to 5 ' above ground level possible during high tide. We urge all islanders to remain vigilant until Isaac has passed.
