5 things to know this week

1. Town Council's first meeting of the month will be on Monday, May 1, at 9 a.m. at DiamondHead Resort, 2000 Estero Boulevard. Watch the meeting on the Town's YouTube channel here.  Read the agenda and accompanying materials

2. New Town Manager Andy Hyatt's first day on the job will also be Monday, May 1.  Read more about Andy

3. On Thursday, May 4, at 9 a.m., Town Council will hold its monthly Management & Planning meeting at DiamondHead Resort. You can also watch this meeting on the Town's YouTube channel. Here's a link to the agenda.

4. The Town Hall event conducted by Resilient Lee, the county's Hurricane Ian Recovery Task Force, will be held at DiamondHead Beach Resort on Thursday, May 4, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  This Town Hall is your chance to give your input about what the future of Fort Myers Beach should be, and how the $1.1 billion that the County has received from the federal government to rebuild should be spent. 5. The emergency berm project will be concentrated in the areas of Margaritaville to Mango Street and Sandpiper to Flamingo Streets. Expect dump trucks hauling sand and other equipment spreading sand. Learn more about this project.
