On December 9, a Teen Program Interest Night will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Games, pizza, and video games will be provided for teens and preteens, ages 12 to 17. This will be a great time for teens and preteens to check out the Teen Program.

On December 16, Bay Oaks will hold a Youth Holiday Festival from 2:30 to 4 p.m. The festival is for children ages 5 to 13. It will involve refreshments, games, holiday art, Gingerbread making, movies and a gift-wrapping contest. The cost is $5 per child. Parents are invited to attend and enjoy the refreshments.

Both events will be held in the gymnasium at Bay Oaks Recreational Campus, 2731 Oak Street. To register or ask questions, contact Ahmad Sheffield, Youth and Teen Coordinator, by email at or by phone at (239) 980-8021.

Bay Oaks Recreational Campus encompasses 15 acres and is operated by the Town of Fort Myers Beach. It houses a community pool, two baseball/softball fields, a disc golf course, three outdoor pickleball courts, four tennis courts, a basketball court, a playground, and a gym with a fitness center. Also provided are summer youth programs, after-school programs, and adult and senior programs and classes. The campus has a variety of open natural space for the community and visitors to enjoy.
