[ARCHIVED] Overnight paving on Estero from Strandview to Lazy this week
Contractors for the Town of Fort Myers Beach and Lee County are installing new water main, sanitary sewer force main, storm drainage, and sidewalk, and rebuilding roadway on Estero Boulevard from Strandview Avenue/Publix to the south end of the island. This is part of a long-term project to refresh Estero Boulevard.
This week, night time and overnight paving operations are scheduled on Estero Boulevard from Strandview Avenue to Lazy Way.
At 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14 through Thursday, Sept. 17 during nighttime/overnight hours, crews are scheduled to final pave from Strandview Avenue to Lazy Way, weather permitting. Motorists at driveways and side streets may experience delays when entering or leaving and when the paver is at their driveway or side street. Motorists can also expect:
- Intermittent daytime lane closures for milling, repairs and restoration
- Daytime and nighttime one-lane traffic on Estero Boulevard with delays (flaggers will be operating)
- Lighting and noise
