One vacancy exists on the Lee County Citizens Advisory Committee for the Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization. This is a volunteer position. Interested parties shall submit a completed application to the Town Clerk by email, United States Postal Mail, or hand delivered to 2525 Estero Boulevard, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931. Applications must be received no later than October 26, 2018 at 4:30 pm for Council consideration at the November 5, 2018 Town Council meeting. Call Town Hall with any questions 239-765-0202. 


Citizens Advisory Committee

The Citizens Advisory Committee meets the first Thursday of every month at 3:00 PM in the Cape Coral Public Works Building, located at 815 Nicholas Parkway East, Cape Coral, FL 33990. 

The purpose of the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) is to make recommendations to the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) board about project priorities for state and federal funding in FDOT’s five year work program, proposed long-range transportation plans, project plans, program plans, and other transportation issues.


Requirements: 

• Shall be a citizen and year-round resident within the corporate limits of the Town of Fort Myers Beach
• Members or their immediate family members (spouse, child, parent or sibling) shall not be declared candidates or elected officials of the Lee County Commission, municipalities in Lee County or Lee County Constitutional Officers.
• Members shall not be employees of any of the local governments represented on the MPO or of the state or federal departments of transportation.
