Lee County Utilities, supplier of drinking water to Fort Myers Beach, is constructing an interconnection from Fort Myers Beach across Big Carlos Pass for emergency purposes. The pass crossing is complete and the contractor is making its connection into the existing water system. In order to accomplish this activity it is necessary to shut down water service to make the connection.
Once complete, this inter-connection will provide Fort Myers Beach with the ability to access water from another source should there ever be problem with the transmission system that reaches the island via Matanzas Pass.
Please contact Beach Water at 239-463-9914 with any questions.
