Re-lighting Estero Blvd seems to be a huge financial burden for the town.
My idea is as follows:
- put a price-tag on sponsoring a lightpole (like for example $5,000)
- let individuals or businesses choose a particular lightpole they want to sponsor/adopt
- each sponsored lightpole will have a metal plaque with the sponsors name ("This lightpole was sponsored by XXX")
- Businesses will get a sticker for their cars "We sponsored (AMOUNT) lightpoles on FMB"
I am a professional web_developer and would be happy to implement a web-based "booking"-system where all un-claimed poles can be found and "bought".
